Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic acupuncture follows the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, using the
meridians in the body that either end or begin in the face to stimulate and balance energy, while also treating the underlying factors that contribute to the aging process.
Cosmetic acupuncture can be done at any age; starting in a person’s 20s or 30s it can be used a preventative measure, and in their 40s or later, it can be used therapeutically and correctively.
Cosmetic acupuncture works by piercing the skin with tiny needles, resulting in “positive” microtraumas that increase circulation to the face, and boost the production of collagen and elastin to tighten skin. Cosmetic acupuncture is the ultimate anti-aging treatment because it balances our internal systems while simultaneously boosting the health and appearance of the skin.
Cosmetic acupuncture is best used for 'lifting', 'firming' or 'tightening'. It can be used to lift the neck, cheeks & eyelids. It is great for overall tension in the face, helping to release forehead lines and furrows or for frown and marionette lines around the mouth.
* In order to achieve visible results we suggest a series of twelve (12) weekly treatments.
*See below for information on Celluma Light Therapy, which can easily be added to Cosmetic Acupuncture & Microneedling services or as a stand alone treatment. Cosmetic Acupuncture is also suggested to be used between Microneedling sessions for additional results.
*Results will vary depending on individual goals, set up an appointment to discuss a treatment plan.

Microneedling (Cosmetic & Hair Restoration)

Microneedling is the insertion of very fine short needles into the skin for the purpose of rejuvenation. Professional Microneedling is done using a 'derma-pen" which creates small perforations (channels) in the skin. When those channels are created, the skins own repair response is to start producing collagen and elastin in order to heal the injury that was just created. This process will facilitate making our skin tighter and smoother.
Depending on the depth of the needle penetration, this can offer skin rejuvenation levels from the simple enhancement of product absorption to the clinical treatment of acne, age spots, skin tone, scars and wrinkles.
*In order to achieve visible results we suggest a series of five (5) monthly treatments.
Microneedling treatment benefits are typically seen within days after treatment and can last from 3-5 years.
Nanoneedling or acupuncture treatments can be incorporated into any Microneedling treatment plan for additional results. Additional charges apply depending on the individual plan.

The use of needles to stimulate hair growth goes back a long way in TCM (Chinese Medicine). Historically, the use of a multi needle "plum blossom" head would be tapped onto the scalp, Today we are able to offer this same type of treatment with ease using current technology using a Microneedling device (derma-pen). This allows us to complete treatments in less time, be more effective and offering less discomfort to the client.
Studies have shown that Hair Restoration can be enhanced with a regular Microneedling treatment plan. Microneedling can assist in Hair Restoration by stimulating the hair follicles, promoting blood flow and producing a healing response on the scalp.
*For results, we suggest beginning with a series of bi-weekly treatments over the course of a few months.
